GIG ready…
What is the GIG economy? News reports are showing signs of an end of an era of full-time 9am-5pm work for one company. This will soon be something of the past, they report. Some economists are predicting a future economy that will be fuelled by multi-talented giggers. People who take on freelance work (gigs) in order to have more time at hand, and they may take on work from a few different employers or clients at the same time. Some giggers will display having prowess in various types of skills.
Go International Group (GIG) was founded on exactly this basis. Our co-founders started working on their own as freelance consultants in the 1990s and always believed in creating work opportunity for themselves, then just got really good at their job. They would often be tasked as project managers and worked closely with the client while managing a team of vendors and other creative freelancers on the journey. The GIG community of freelancers grew and together, GIG provided corporate clients, government agencies and multinational clients excellence in customer service as well as the assurance of a professional job well-done and delivered within the required timelines. On time, on budget and five-star service in delivering excellence! And it’s this, that we wish to impart and share with up and coming freelancers.
What does it cost to join? It’s FREE for GIGGERS and FREELANCERS to join this sharing economy. The fee is paid by clients, companies or agencies who successfully engage GIGGERS and FREELANCERS from this network. A fixed 17.65% fee is billed to the client on top of fees, without cutting into the GIGGERS or FREELANCERS fee. A portion of the fee goes towards supporting GIG training programmes, media and technology upkeep costs and other things that go into making this platform a reality.
Services for GIGGERS and FREELANCERS: As a creative community, we have the strength to negotiate for better deals that serve our professional careers as Asia’s GIG economists. We have partnered with several businesses like co-working spaces, professional insurance brokers, sound and lights suppliers, specialty venues, company secretaries and accountants.
